Why did the wire fail again after I fixed it?

The repair may have used the wrong connector size, weak crimp pressure, exposed copper or tape-only insulation. A stable repair needs the correct terminal, a firm crimp and protection around the finished joint.

What are the correct repair steps?

Cut away the damaged section, strip clean copper, choose the matching terminal, crimp firmly, apply heat-shrink protection, then pull-test and power-test the connection.

How do I know the repair worked?

The wire should not pull out, the terminal should be centered and tight, no copper should remain exposed, and the circuit should work without flicker or intermittent contact.

Why do I need a full kit instead of one connector?

A loose low-voltage repair often needs more than one part: stripping, crimping, the right terminal type, the right wire size and insulation protection all affect the final result.

Can I just wrap it with electrical tape?

Tape can be temporary insulation, but it should not replace a proper mechanical crimp and sealed connection. Tape-only repairs can loosen, trap moisture or leave the wire unsupported.

Which terminal should I choose?
