For vehicle owners, technicians, and workshop users making compatible battery cables, grounding leads, truck wiring, marine power connections, and inverter or energy-storage cable connections. Use only where the lug manufacturer specifies a compatible hex crimp and the conductor fits a marked die size. The tool is not for live circuits, small color-coded insulated terminals, open-barrel signal terminals, or conductors outside the listed range. A bare crimp does not provide waterproof sealing.

Match the cable conductor gauge to the copper lug's specified barrel size, then select the same AWG marking on both die wheels. Check the lug's crimp-profile requirements and match its stud hole to the connection bolt. Do not choose a die from the cable's outside insulation diameter or lug color alone. Choose 1pcs Crimping Tool for the crimper only, or 2pcs Crimping Tool when you also need the included cable cutter.

1. Isolate the circuit and disconnect the battery or other power source according to the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
2. Cut the compatible cable square and strip only the insulation length specified for the lug barrel, without damaging the conductor.
3. Rotate both die wheels to the matching marked AWG size and ensure they are securely positioned.
4. Insert the conductor fully into the lug, then position the barrel in the matched hex dies as directed by the lug manufacturer.
5. Close the handles to form the crimp. Follow the lug manufacturer's requirements for crimp position, number of crimps, and inspection; do not assume one crimp suits every lug design.
6. Inspect the crimp and check conductor retention. Apply any required insulation or sealing, then inspect the completed connection before restoring power.

Which battery cable sizes are supported?
The marked die sizes are AWG 8, 6, 4, 2, 1, and 1/0. The conductor and lug barrel must both match the selected size and required hex profile.

Is a cable cutter included?
The 2pcs Crimping Tool option (HX1769) includes one crimper and one cable cutter. The 1pcs Crimping Tool option (HX2051) includes the crimper only.

Can this crimp small insulated terminals?
No. Use a dedicated insulated-terminal crimper for smaller color-coded terminals; this product is for compatible copper battery lugs and cable terminals in the listed sizes.
