65Ft 5/16 Inch Heat Shrink Tubing Roll provides a continuous 65-foot length of 3:1 dual-wall, adhesive-lined tubing for sealing, insulating, strain relief, and color identification on compatible wire and cable joints. The supplied inner diameter is at least 7.9mm and the fully recovered inner diameter is no more than 2.7mm.

Use this 5/16-inch tubing for compatible automotive, marine, equipment, appliance, and workshop wiring where the sleeve must seal around a medium cable joint or harness section. Blue, red, green, yellow, and black variants support project identification. Do not use it where the 7.9mm starting diameter cannot pass over the largest part of the connection or the recovered diameter cannot grip the smallest section.
Measure the largest diameter the tubing must slide over and the smallest diameter it must seal after heating. Confirm the supplied inner diameter of at least 7.9mm clears the connection and the recovered inner diameter of no more than 2.7mm will seal the finished joint. Select color by the project identification standard rather than by wire gauge alone.
The tubing can recover to about one-third of its supplied diameter when heated correctly. This 7.9mm size has a specified fully recovered inner diameter of no more than 2.7mm.
The expanded size must clear the largest component, while the recovered size must seal tightly around the smallest section. Do not choose by wire gauge alone.
Use a controlled heat gun. An open flame can scorch the sleeve, damage nearby insulation, and create an uneven adhesive seal.
