How to Choose

  1. Confirm both conductors are within AWG 18-16; select by conductor gauge, not outer insulation diameter alone.
  2. Choose 100PCS for occasional repairs, 500PCS for regular workshop use or 1000PCS for higher-volume stocking.
  3. Verify that the sleeve can overlap intact insulation on both sides of the stripped joint.

How to Heat and Seal

  1. Disconnect power and strip both wire ends without cutting conductor strands.
  2. Insert the conductors from opposite ends so they overlap inside the central solder ring.
  3. Apply controlled heat while rotating the connector and keeping the heat source moving.
  4. Heat the solder ring until it flows around the conductors, then allow the sleeve and sealing rings to recover evenly.
  5. Stop heating, let the splice cool completely and perform a gentle pull check before restoring power.

Do green solder seal connectors require crimping?

No. Correct installation uses controlled heat to melt the solder ring and recover the sleeve. Do not crimp the solder ring unless the product instructions specifically require it.

How do I select the green connector by AWG?

Use the green connector only when both stripped conductors are within AWG 18-16. Confirm conductor gauge before installation and do not select by insulation color.

How much heat should I apply?

The product imagery shows an 842°F / 450°C heat-gun setting. Keep the tool moving, rotate the connector and stop once the solder has flowed and the sleeve has fully recovered.

How do I know the splice is sealed?

The solder should visibly flow around the conductors, the sleeve should recover without gaps and the end sealing rings should contract around intact insulation. Reject any scorched, split or incompletely recovered connection.

Super Handy - Love these things

These things are great. I bought a Harbor Freight heat gun years ago, used it once, and stuck it away in a cabinet. Now it's getting a workout while I fix every janky splice I've done on the mower and ATV along with all of the terrible ones on the used trailer I bought. Easy, secure connections. The solder doesn't seem to flow like I expected, but you do see the ring shrink and form around your twisted wires - you also see impressions of individual strands. Good connections all around so far. Highly impressed!
