The Supported AWG column describes the crimper's marked jaw positions, not a single rating shared by all 420 terminals. Check each terminal's own barrel size. The assortment chart labels BN 0.5 butt splices for AWG 26-22; this does not extend the included crimper's marked range below AWG 22.

Use ring or fork terminals for suitable stud connections and butt splices for inline wire joints. Bare terminals do not provide insulation or waterproof sealing: add the protection required for the installation and environment. Match the conductor size to the terminal barrel, then confirm a compatible jaw position on the crimper. For ring and fork terminals, also match the stud-hole size to the connection hardware. For butt splices, check both conductors and the barrel rating. Do not use insulation colors as a universal sizing rule for bare terminals, or assume every terminal in the assortment can be crimped at every marked jaw position.
What is included in the 420PCS kit?
The HX2197 option includes one crimper, 420 assorted non-insulated copper ring, fork, and butt terminals, and a storage box. The 420PCS quantity refers to terminals, not tools.
Which wire sizes does the included crimper support?
The tool's marked positions are AWG 22-18, AWG 16-14, AWG 12-10, and AWG 8. Both the conductor and terminal barrel must match the selected position. A terminal's wider printed range does not change the crimper's marked limits.
Can an insulated-terminal crimper be substituted?
Not automatically. Use a crimp profile specified for the selected non-insulated terminal. The finished bare connection still needs any insulation or sealing required by the installation.
