  2. Cut the cable squarely and strip only the required insulation length without cutting conductor strands.
  3. Rotate the hex die to the matching AWG mark, insert the conductor fully into the lug, and center the barrel in the die.
  4. Close the handles completely to form the crimp, then inspect and pull-test the termination.
  5. Apply correctly sized heat shrink over the barrel and cable insulation, heat it evenly, and allow it to cool before reconnecting power.
