Applications

These fully insulated quick-disconnect terminals suit circuits that may need periodic disconnection, including vehicle accessories, marine panels, trailers, appliances, control cabinets, and workshop repairs. The nylon sleeve helps isolate the conductive body; it is not a heat-shrink or waterproof seal.

How to Choose
  1. Match the terminal color to the conductor: red for AWG 22-16, blue for AWG 16-14, or yellow for AWG 12-10.
  2. Select Female or Male to match the existing mating terminal. Choose Male & Female when both sides of the disconnect are required.
  3. Confirm the mating tab uses the same 0.250-inch quick-disconnect format before installation.
How to Crimp
  1. Disconnect power and strip the wire without cutting conductor strands.
  2. Insert the conductor fully into the metal barrel.
  3. Place the barrel in the correct color-coded die of a ratcheting insulated-terminal crimper and complete the crimp cycle.
  4. Pull-test the connection, then join the matching male and female terminals until fully seated.

Do not crimp the mating blade or receptacle area. Replace any terminal with a cracked nylon sleeve, loose crimp, or damaged contact.

Does this kit include a crimping tool?

No. The listed bottle variants contain fully insulated spade terminals only. Use a compatible ratcheting crimper for insulated terminals.

Can male and female terminals from different colors connect?

The mating blade format must match, but each terminal barrel must also fit its own wire gauge. Do not use the wrong color simply to join a pair.

Are these terminals waterproof?

No. The nylon sleeve provides electrical insulation, but it does not create a waterproof heat-shrink seal. Use a sealed connector where moisture protection is required.

Which crimping die should I use?

Use the insulated-terminal die that matches the terminal color and conductor range: red, blue, or yellow. Complete the full ratchet cycle and pull-test the wire.
