Im big on soldering all my connections and sometimes without a 3rd hand its hard to get everything perfect but I thought id give these a try. If you get the wires all little ed up and into this it will hold everything in place and then you crimp it down. Its supposed to give a perfect crimp every time but here in reality its more like a lot of the time. Not every crimp comes out perfect but a lot of them do. Then you can solder everything in place for a permanent fit. Its a solid tool and I'm Definitely not worried it will fall apart. I don't use it as much as some people might but I will get a lot of use out of it. It feels solid and doesn't wobble while crimping like some of the cheaper versions ive seen. It definitely earns a spot in the pouch!
