The bare terminal is crimped first; the included 3:1 dual-wall tubing is then positioned over the barrel to add insulation, strain relief, and environmental protection.

How to Choose
  • Match the terminal barrel to the conductor: AWG 22-16, 16-14, or 12-10.
  • Measure the screw or stud and select #8, #10, 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch, or 3/8 inch as offered for that AWG.
  • Confirm the selected variant's terminal and tubing quantities in the table.
  • Use a die intended for non-insulated closed-barrel terminals; do not crimp with an open-barrel profile.
How to Crimp and Heat Shrink
  1. Disconnect power and slide the matching heat-shrink tube onto the wire.
  2. Strip only enough insulation for the terminal barrel and insert the conductor fully.
  3. Crimp the brazed barrel with the correct non-insulated terminal die.
  4. Inspect and pull-test the crimp before sealing it.
  5. Center the tubing over the barrel and wire insulation, then apply controlled heat while rotating the connection.
  6. Stop when the 3:1 tubing has fully recovered and sealed; allow it to cool before use.
Frequently Asked Questions

Are the ring terminals already insulated?

No. The terminals are supplied as non-insulated tin-plated copper terminals. Install the included 3:1 tubing after crimping to insulate and seal the barrel.

How do I select the correct ring terminal?

Match both the conductor gauge and the stud diameter. The barrel must fit the wire, and the ring opening must fit the screw or stud.

How many terminals and heat-shrink tubes are included?

AWG 12-10 variants include 50 terminals and 50 tubes. AWG 16-14 and AWG 22-16 variants include 100 terminals and 100 tubes.

What material are the terminals made from?

They are made from pure copper with a tin-plated, corrosion-resistant surface and a brazed seam.

Which crimping profile should I use?

Use a die designed for non-insulated closed-barrel terminals and sized to the selected AWG. Do not use an open-barrel die.
