Choose the connection shape first, then match the color-coded AWG range to the conductor. Use butt connectors for wire-to-wire splices, ring or fork terminals for studs and screws, and spade or bullet terminals for disconnectable connections.
Strip the wire to the correct length, insert it fully, crimp with the matched die, and pull-test the joint. Apply even heat from the center outward until the tubing shrinks and the adhesive seals around the insulation.
Use these connectors for automotive, marine, trailer, motorcycle, RC, outdoor, and home wiring. Do not use a connector outside its listed AWG range or where the terminal shape does not match the connection point.
Match the connector color and printed AWG range to the conductor: white for AWG 26-24, red for AWG 22-16, blue for AWG 16-14, and yellow for AWG 12-10 where those options are offered.
